Historic Madison Calendar

Historic Madison board members began publishing Historic Madison: A Journal of the Four Lake Region in 1975. Many back issues are still available and copies are in the many branches of the Madison Public Library.

In 1996, board members oversaw two book projects. The first was a book of memories compiled by a past Historic Madison president, Hallie Lou's Scrapbook. The second was A Biographical Guide to Forest Hill Cemetery. Both books sold out of their initial printings.

In 1999, board members oversaw its cemetery committee members' book on Resurrection Cemetery, Bishops to Bootleggers.

In 2002, the cemetery committee created a second edition of the Forest Hill book. We appreciate the grant we received from the Evjue Foundation which allows us to make the book more affordable for you.
