My Life in Politics
By Betty Walker Smith
Betty Walker Smith (7/22/18-12/27/08) was a lifelong advocate for the rights of women, families and minorities. Over the years, she compiled over 100 3-ring binders of newspaper clippings, magazine articles and other printed material, which served as her primary source for writing this book. Betty graduated from UW-Madison in 1941 with a B.S. in Journalism, and received her Master's in Public Policy and Administration in 1974. Described as a liberal Republican feminist, Betty was active in the women's movement for over 40 years at the county, state and national levels.
